Q : How have you gravitated toward visual art?

A : I discovered in photography a powerful way to express feelings and concepts. After having spent a lot of time into books as a student, at some point I felt like I needed to go towards the world and produce pictures of it. I like plastic approaches as much as documentary works, and I started to spend a lot of time wandering through the night with a camera at hand.

Q : What is your favourite Medium to work in?

A : My favorite visual medium is photography, although I happen to do some vector and drawing. I use digital photography a lot because it’s convenient and casual, but I like a lot B&W medium format film, that I develop in homemade recipes.

Q : Whats your least favourite color?

A : I think I don’t like green. It hurts my eyes, all this green outside … Paradoxically, I like being outside, into the wild, but green tones are the ones I like least to work with.

Q : Educated or Self-Taught?

A : I am mostly a self taught photographer, although I have learnt some basics with some friends of mine who are professionals. This freedom in my education allowed me to escape in very experimental techniques, like pinhole photography out of matchboxes, or coffee mixtures to develop film …

Q : What is your hope for your work?

A : Slowly, but surely, my work gains recognition, on a local and an international plan. I hope I will preserve my actual independence, in order to pursue my ongoing projects, and to start the ones I’m planning.
